FAQ
Q1: How do I get started?
Starting is simple. You can contact us with your site address or property details. We’ll arrange a meeting to discuss your goals and ideas, then outline the design process, fees, and next steps before beginning the concept design.
Q2: What services do you provide?
We specialise in residential architectural design — from new homes and townhouses to alterations and small-scaled dwellings such as minor dwellings. Our work covers design and building consent documentation.
Q3: Do you work outside of Christchurch?
While we are based in Christchurch, we also work across Canterbury, including Selwyn, Waimakariri, and Hurunui districts. We can take on projects in other regions as required.
Q4: How involved will I be in the design process?
Client input is essential. We listen to your ideas and requirements at every stage, ensuring the final design reflects your vision and lifestyle.
Q5: How long does the process take?
The timeframe varies depending on how quickly the design is confirmed and how long the council takes to process the consent. Each project is different, and we’ll guide you on expected timeframes once we understand your needs.
Q6: Do you handle building consent applications?
Yes. We prepare and submit all necessary documentation to council and liaise with them until the building consent is approved.
Q7: Do you manage the construction phase?
Construction is managed by the builder. However, if you wish, we can provide ongoing support during this stage — details can be discussed based on your project needs.
Q8: How do you charge for your services?
Fees are tailored to each project, depending on size, complexity, and scope of work. We will provide a clear fee proposal before beginning.
